Skip is a bicycle racing cyclist who was a member of the 1964 and 1968 Olympic Teams, and the 1967 and 1971 Pan American Teams. One of a small group of American 'pioneer' racing cyclists, he raced internationally in 26 countries with nearly 300 top 3 international finishes to his credit. In 1987 he won the world master's road race championships, and in 2002 was inducted into the U.S. Bicycle Racing Hall of Fame. He a teacher, a cycling team coach, and a clinical exercise physiologist before turning to art full time.
Skip has painted, drawn in pen and ink, and sculpted for over 40 years. He captures moments, feeling or impressions in his work, and works both in the studio, and out in nature.
