McCormick to help AOTO celebrate opening of The Foundation for Global Sports Development’s International Children’s Art Exhibit
Art of the Olympians (AOTO) will welcome an Olympic Great Patricia “Pat” McCormick to Southwest Florida as a special guest to aide in its youth outreach program. McCormick will be joined by the swimmers & divers involved with Swim Florida and Coach Mac Kennedy at Fort Myers Aquatic Center, 1750 Matthew Dr., Fort Myers on Thursday, January 6 at 5:00 p.m.
McCormick, a four-time Gold Medalist, won both diving events in two consecutive Olympic Games (1952 and 1956). She is a strong supporter of youth development in both the art and sport arena.
McCormick will also help AOTO celebrate the opening of The Foundation for Global Sports Development’s International Children’s Art Exhibit: Through the Eyes of A Child at the Al Oerter Center for Excellence on Friday, January 7. Families, friends and community members are invited to attend a special reception, on Friday, January 7 from 5-8 p.m. to celebrate the exhibit opening. Admission to the event is free of charge.
As a special guest, McCormick will share her Olympic experiences and her work towards helping motivate Children to be the best that they can be. Admission to the reception is free of charge.
