Wojciech Zablocki, Ph.D. Olympian and Artist
Wojciech’s Exhibit reflects the many passions of a dedicated and decorated athlete with five World Fencing Championships and the honor of competing in four Olympic Games. Wojciech is a world renowned architect and he has transferred his creativity into new arenas through watercolor paintings. Many of Wojeciech’s works were painted from life settings; all the works reflect on understanding for space.
Wojciech’s Exhibition opens on Friday, August 20th in the Arts & Cultural Gallery and runs until October 13th. The Exhibition Opening Recepetion will fun from 5 – 8:00 p.m. on the 20th and is open to the public cocktails and Hors d'œuvre will be served.

Olympic Competition:

Many of Wojeciech’s works were painted from life settings; all the works reflect on understanding for space.
Sports Career:
Zabłocki participated in four Olympic Games: 1952 Helsinki, 1956 Melbourne, 1960 Rome, 1964 Tokyo and won two silver (1956, 1960) and one bronze medal (1964) in team sabre fencing.
He participated in the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime or FIE, (International Fencing Federation) World Championships in Fencing and won four gold (team: 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963), one silver (team: 1954) and four bronze medals (individual: 1961; team: 1953, 1957, 1958).
Zabłocki won the Polish fencing championships five times. He was a member of MKS Katowice, Budowlani Kraków, Krakowski Klub Szermierzy (KKSz) and Marymont Warszawa teams.
He was a Professor of Architecture at the University of Łódź and the University of Warsaw. As an architect he designed many stadiums and sport buildings in Poland and abroad. He received the Samaranch prize for sport architecture and received the Olympic Laurel three times for the best designed sport buildings in Poland - the last one in 2010.
Zabłocki is the author of 8 books, about his sport career, architecture, Olympic art competitions and cold arms.
He is President of the Olympic Museum Council in Warsaw, Poland and Honorary President of the Polish Olympic Academy.
